Markilux Pergola Stretch | All‑Weather Retractable Outdoor System

The Markilux Pergola Stretch is a pergola awning designed to shade large outdoor areas, up to 7 x 7 m. It protects against sun and rain, and you can add lighting, infrared heaters and side screens so the space works in the evening and in cooler weather too. It suits large homes, roof terraces, and restaurant and hotel dining.

Features at a glance

  • Coverage up to 7 x 7 m (49 m²) ideal for large garden and commercial terraces
  • Waterproof, flame-retardant sunvas perla FR fabric, with an integrated gutter that drains water down through the posts, even at a low slope of 5°
  • Wind resistance class 3 (38–48 km/h), helped by a lateral fabric guide
  • Radio-controlled motor, smart home compatible (Somfy io)
  • LED-Line, LED-Spots, coloured lighting and infrared heaters

Is the pergola stretch right for your space?

The Pergola Stretch provides all weather protection for a comfortable extended outdoor gastronomy season. Here are the situations we hear about most often, and how the system deals with each one:

“You want something that looks clean when it’s not in use.”

The fabric folds evenly into a coverboard when retracted, and the design is kept deliberately slim and minimal.

“You want to use your terrace when it rains.”

The cover is made from sunvas perla FR, a fabric developed specifically for the pergola stretch that is waterproof and flame retardant. Rainwater runs off the fabric into a gutter on the front posts, then down through the posts to the ground.

“You want to sit out after dark or into autumn.”

LED-Lines can be fitted in the fabric support profiles or the cross beam, and LED-Spots can also be added to the beam. Infrared heaters can be mounted on the structure to keep the space comfortable at lower temperatures.

“You need protection from the side as well as above.”

Side wind and privacy screens can be added between the posts or against the wall (see the FAQ below for compatible products).

How the Markilux Pergola Stretch works

The fabric is attached to support profiles that run in guide tracks. When extended, it stretches out over the frame; when retracted, it folds neatly into the coverboard. The guide tracks sit on a support gutter on the front posts, which carries rainwater away. A lateral fabric guide keeps the cover steady and improves wind resistance.
